EXPECTING HIM TO COME AFTER 11 YEARS!!

I still remember how it felt to miss the beautiful A.R. Rahman’s show (Unity of Light) which was held on 20th December 2003 at Stadium Melawati Shah Alam. That feeling was unbearable. Being an ardent fan of him and missing his live show in Malaysia, how painful it could be. I was a student back then, just finished my SPM. Living away from Kl or Selangor, any caring and loving parents are not dare enough to let their daughter to travel alone all the way from Perak to Shah Alam.  All these are the main reasons for me to miss that live show.

But now, how it feels to hear the news “A.R.Rahman is coming to town” again after 11 years to perform. It was on 12 January 2014 I saw the news on FB. What else could be a better 28^th birthday present for me on the next day?  And am eagerly counting my days for the show which is on 26^th April 2014

We never know what god has planned for us; it is very true in my situation. Indeed 2014 is a very good year for me. Despite waiting for the live show, I got a lifetime opportunity to see him live on 19^th February 2014 upon his arrival to Malaysia for press meet of the show. It is definitely a remarkably unforgettable moment of my lifetime.  The man I wanted to see since I was a kid, stood just few steps away from me. Only god knows how priceless it was. Thanks again for Arrahman.my for organizing “Welcoming A.R. Rahman at KLIA” event.

A.R. Rahman infinite love live in Stadium Merdeka on 26^TH April 2014 is the most awaited show for my lifetime. Now I understand god always has a better plan for me as I wouldn't be able to purchase category A ticket if I attended his show back on 2003, but now am thrilled  and proud as I have my valuable category A ticket, the most precious ticket. I am too excited to attend the show. Every second is going to be meaningful for me during the show. I am truly humbled.

THE Mozart of Madras, multiple award-winner Indian composer A.R. Rahman, will entertain Malaysian fans on April 26.

THE Mozart of Madras, multiple award-winner Indian composer A.R. Rahman, will   entertain Malaysian fans on April 26.

 His 7.30pm showcase at Stadium Merdeka here is titled "A.R. Rahman Infinite Love In Concert".

 It is supported by Malaysia Major Events, a division of the Malaysia Convention And Exhibition Bureau of the Tourism And Culture Ministry.

 Rahman, who won two Oscars for the score of the film Slumdog Millionaire promises a sound and light extravaganza.

 "I haven't performed in Malaysia for a while and the last time I was in Kuala Lumpur was  in 2003, where I performed for the  Unity Of Light Concert.

 "I'm very excited to be back and I look forward to perform my latest songs for Malaysians," he said at a press conference at Double Tree Hilton, Jalan Ampang.

 The three-hour concert is organised by DML Live.

 Rahman will perform with his 78-piece ensemble a medley of his popular songs in Tamil and Hindi.

 These include songs from the upcoming Bollywood film, Highway.

 The singers who will join Rahman include Mohit Chauhan, Javed Ali, Neeti Mohan and Shweta Pandit.

 Rahman will also perform Qawwali devotional music and  electronic dance music.

 DML chief executive officer Keerthivasan Subramaniam said: "Music brings people across the world closer and Rahman has done so with his superb music."

 Malaysia Major Events chairman Datuk Ariffin Anthony said: "This concert complements our initiatives for Visit Malaysia Year 2014."

 The concert's creative architects Rapport Global Events' chairman Deepak Gattani said it was  delighted to bring Rahman back for a  concert and told fans to "expect the unexpected".

 Rahman, 47, from Chennai, has won two Grammys, a BAFTA, a Golden Globe and 15 Filmfare Awards.

 He sold more than 150 million copies of his works, comprising 100 film soundtracks and albums in half a dozen languages.

 Rahman said his concert's title comes from his 2011 song Infinite Love.

 "It is about the power of love in changing lives, and the song's video shows four children who demonstrate this."

 Rahman has just finished  the soundtrack of a new Disney movie Million Dollar Arm.

 The press conference was also attended by Malaysia Convention And Exhibition Bureau marketing, corporate and communications general manager Intan Hyriatee Mohd Zawai.

The new Gautham Menon – Suriya film, Dhruva Natchathiram, which is set to go on floors in June this year, will have a weighty addition to its team.

The composer for this film will be none other than Isai Puyal A.R.Rahman who is joining hands with Gautham again after the glorious musical success of Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya.

After working with Harris Jayaraj and Ilayaraja in the past, Gautham is back with Rahman and this spells great news for fans of the director and music director.

The script for this action film is ready and the team is geared up for the shooting.

AR Rahman don’t have the credibility to compose music

Devayani and her husband Rajakumaran is currently working on the upcoming movie “
Thirumathi Thamizh”. Devayani has produced the movie and Rajakumaran has directed and acted in the movie. The movie has music by S A Rajkumar. Recently, the press meet of the movie was held.
Devayani who spoke in the press meet said that, “Nobody was volunteered to purchase the audio for the movie Thirumathi Thamizh. They are purchasing the audio of A R Rahman, Yuvan Shankar Raja and Harris Jeyarai”.
Rajakumaran fiercely snatched the mike from Devayani’s hands and said, “Music composers like A R Rahman don’t have knowledge in Tamil. The numbers in Thirumathi Thamizh are full of poetic beauty. Music composers as Harris Jeyaraj, Yuvan and A R Raham don’t have the credibility to compose music. Only S A Rajkumar is qualified to compose music for the movie”.
